Hi, I’m Jorge
I am a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience teaching families how to build healthy habits. My program has taught thousands of kids and teens how to change their habits and transform their lives. It was featured in the news as the first program to include nutrition counseling, group support, and exercise classes just for teens.
I learned most of the ideas on this website because I wanted to become a great coach. I read everything I could about habits, behavioral analysis, mindsets, brain development, and much more. One thing is clear: everything we do begins with a thought. What you become and do in life starts with your mind first and your actions second.
A little bit about me: I am 48 years old and have been happily married for over 25 years to my beautiful wife Kalina. Before I became an entrepreneur, I was a frustrated accountant. Like most people, I was programmed to go after the “American Dream” – a large house, a nice car, a good life, and a family. I thought making money was important.
I did not realize back then that purpose and passion are far more important than money. So I studied accounting and worked for many years as a CPA chasing this elusive dream.
Then in 2003 I started my first business and discovered things not taught in school. I learned how to grow my mind, take risks, get out of my comfort zone, develop systems, believe in myself, accept failure, use my imagination, follow my passion, and seek purpose. I began to see things differently and focused my life not on money but purpose.
I also learned a very valuable lesson by building the Lean Teen Program: You and I can reach for the stars and achieve things that are unique and different. We are not limited by our past beliefs and can create our own path in life with the right mindset.
I have had my fair share of challenges and regrets but long ago I made a commitment to treat my life as a journey. Every experience I have is an opportunity to learn and to grow. Any setback along the way is treated as a learning experience.
Your life journey is going to be different from my journey. But it will still be a journey and not a destination. The good news is wherever you are in your journey right now you can always get a fresh start in life even if you have many challenges, failures, and regrets.
I write to share the best ideas I discover and connect them in ways that add the most impact to your life. I hope my work can help you to fulfill your potential and do the meaningful things that will give you purpose.
